Special Screening of “Brunello. The Gracious Visionary”

Locandina
Brunello. Il visionario garbato

On Monday, July 13, the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) of Miami partnered with the film distributor Blue Fox Entertainment to present a special screening of the documentary Brunello. The Gracious Visionary, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore and dedicated to the life and vision of renowned entrepreneur and fashion designer Brunello Cucinelli. The event took place at the Coral Gables Art Cinema and drew a full house, with an enthusiastic audience filling the theater.

The screening offered attendees the opportunity to experience the documentary ahead of its U.S. theatrical release on July 24. The film tells the personal and professional story of one of the leading figures of contemporary Made in Italy.

Tornatore frames the narrative through a symbolic card game between Brunello Cucinelli and a mysterious opponent, representing the journey of life. The story weaves together cinematic reenactments, personal recollections, archival footage, and interviews, creating an intimate portrait of a man who has successfully united entrepreneurship, culture, and philosophy.

The documentary retraces the defining moments of Cucinelli’s life, from his childhood in the Umbrian countryside to the transformation of the village of Solomeo into an internationally recognized model defined “humanistic capitalism”. This vision touches every aspect of his work, from preserving cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship to caring for the local territory and promoting a business philosophy rooted in the dignity of work, the well-being of people, and social responsibility.

The film is further enriched by the evocative original score composed by Academy Award winner Nicola Piovani, whose music enhances the emotional depth and human dimension of the story.

With this initiative, the Italian Cultural Institute of Miami once again reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Italian excellence through cinema and the arts, offering audience a valuable opportunity to discover not only one of Italy’s most influential figures in fashion, but also the cultural heritage, artisanal traditions, and deep connection to local communities that define the essence of Made in Italy.
