The Italian Cultural Institute in Miami collaborates with Miami Jazz Booking and the Roma Jazz Festival for an event dedicated to contemporary Italian jazz on tour in Miami.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 PM, in the charming setting of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, featuring a highly anticipated concert by the quartet led by Eleonora Strino.

Eleonora Strino, an Italian jazz guitarist, is now internationally recognized for her performance and teaching career. In 2020, she gained wide visibility thanks to being featured on the cover of Jazz Guitar Today magazine. In 2023, she released her first album as a leader, I Got Strings (Cam Jazz), recorded live in Berlin with Greg Cohen and Joey Baron and later presented at the Blue Note in Milan. In the same year, she also published the instructional book Bebop Scales for Jazz Guitar (Fundamental Changes).

Her artistic activity includes tours and collaborations with musicians such as Dado Moroni and Emanuele Cisi. She also participates in the project “The Great Guitars” alongside Ulf Wakenius and Martin Taylor, becoming the first woman involved in this group. Alongside her concert career, she teaches jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Cosenza.

The concert will be preceded by an opening performance by the quintet led by bassist Brian Tate, active in the Miami jazz scene both as a musician and as the musical director of Miami Jazz Booking. His work includes collaborations with various local music organizations and participation in projects that contribute to the city’s jazz programming.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote cultural exchange and strengthen artistic ties between Italy and the United States, offering an opportunity for artists and audiences to connect in a setting dedicated to the appreciation of live music.
