It is an educational tool not only individually and collectively, but also, in a broader sense, civically <\/em>(Luca Serianni).<\/p>\n<p>Every year, around <strong>two million students<\/strong> take Italian language courses outside of Italy, in countries all over the world. There are several reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Italian is a language of culture<\/strong>. Learning it means gaining access to a literary heritage, valuable humanistic and scientific texts, and a rich production of theater, music, cinema, and television that has greatly influenced European history;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Italian is a language of study<\/strong>. Every year, many students choose to attend Italian schools, universities, academies, and libraries;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Italian is a language for work<\/strong>. Executives, investors, technicians, workers, and professionals from every sector engage with the Italian industrial and craft world, which extends beyond national borders;<\/li>\n<li><strong>visiting Italy and meeting its open and welcoming people<\/strong> is an even greater pleasure when you speak Italian!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The language we speak tells a lot about us and the way we stand in the world.
