The Italian Cultural Institute in Miami continues its series of lectures featuring leading Italian scientists and researchers in Florida.

On Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 6:30 pm, our Coral Gables headquarters host Professor Pasquale Patrizio, one of the world’s foremost experts in reproductive medicine, for the lecture Medical and Elective Egg Freezing: a Strategy to Preserve and Postpone Fertility.

Professor Patrizio explores the world of egg freezing, one of the most revolutionary advances in modern medicine. Combining clinical insight with social reflection, he explains how vitrification technology enables women today to preserve their fertility with remarkable success rates. It can be seen as an opportunity for women seeking to maintain their reproductive option, either for health issues or elective, personal reasons. Through his engaging analysis, Professor Patrizio presents egg freezing as a true “technology of hope”.

Pasquale Patrizio, born in Naples, Italy, is Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences and Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. A pioneer in fertility preservation and author of numerous scientific publications, he previously directed the Yale IVF Center and co-founded the International Society for Fertility Preservation. His work continues to shape innovation and ethical reflection in reproductive medicine worldwide.
