As part of the celebrations for the recent inauguration of the Italian Cultural Institute in Miami, renowned singer-songwriter Carmen Consoli performs on Friday, May 31, at the Colony Theatre in Miami Beach, with a concert entitled “Terra ca nun senti”.
The project, dedicated to highlighting Sicilian musical heritage and its instruments, blends traditional folk songs with original compositions, offering the audience an intense and evocative journey into the cultural roots of the artist’s region.
The event, organized by the IIC, is realized with the collaboration of the ItaliaFestival Association and closes Carmen Consoli’s North American tour, which began in New York and continued in important cities in the United States, as well as in Montreal, Canada. The Miami date takes on special significance, representing a tribute to Florida’s Italian community and a moment for celebrating Sicilian culture in an international context.
Prior to the concert, the initiative is presented with a press conference at the headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute, with the participation, in addition to the local press, of representatives of Italian organizations in the area.
