On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 6:30 PM, the Italian Cultural Institute in Miami will host a conversation with Roberto Forleo, Italian choreographer and Artistic Director of The Florida Ballet (Jacksonville, Florida).
The evening will focus on the upcoming Miami-area debut of the ballet Dracula, a production by Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, featuring original choreography by Forleo and inspired by Bram Stoker’s celebrated novel.
The event offers an opportunity to meet an Italian artist with extensive international experience and, through a talk, retrace his professional journey from his early years as a dancer to his career as a choreographer and, ultimately, the creation of Dracula.
Roberto Forleo began his training in Italy and continued his studies at the École Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne. During his career, he danced with companies in Europe, Latin America, Japan, and the United States, including Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Rambert Dance Company, and Malandain Ballet Biarritz. He has worked with internationally renowned choreographers, including Maurice Béjart, Christopher Bruce, Thierry Malandain, and many others, before increasingly focusing on choreography and artistic direction. Since 2020, he has been Artistic Director of The Florida Ballet, for which he has created and staged several productions.
Joining Roberto Forleo in the conversation will be Vladimir Issaev, Artistic Director of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, together with some of the dancers from the production.
